MOVE SIT WRITE • The Series integrates what I am learning in acupuncture school with my beloved MOVE SIT WRITE workshops. This is done by exploring the Five Elements of Chinese Medicine using yoga, meditation and journaling prompts. Each class starts with a short discussion that informs the way you will move your body, meditate and journal. Students will receive self care homework that is intended to expand upon what was learned in class. I am available for weekly emails and check-ins as needed.

This 6-week series is for individuals of all skill levels who are interested in deepening their movement, meditation and reflection practices, but may not ready for the commitment and price tag that comes with a yoga teacher training or a retreat.

For the Early Summer installment, we will be exploring the Fire element, which is all about raw, unadulterated passion. We'll focus on the heart, pericardium (the heart's body guard), triple burner (that's harder to explain, but it's very cool), and the small intestine. This is a spicy, yang-heavy element. It's a hormonal teenager who will stop at nothing to feel fully alive and joyful.

We meet for 6 weeks on Thursdays from 7pm to 8:30pm at Mend Therapy, near Loring Park, from May 2-June 6.

The series costs $175. If you'd like to attend, but don't have the full amount, you're welcome to pay a non-refundable $50 deposit to hold your spot, and the remainder of your payment will be due on May 1.
