Meditation: Self Love

New age wisdom tells us to ignore our negative thoughts and to focus on the positive. I've never found that to be particularly helpful. Staring your negative, self-loathing thoughts straight in the eye is like speaking truth to power. It's thrilling, powerful and essential to survival.

I recorded this 12-minute meditation when I was feeling low and needed to lift myself back up. Give it a shot and see if you don't feel a bit lighter at the end.
